A Joyful Visit Filled with Grace and Unity | Welcoming Metropolitan Sebastianos of Atlanta

On the 25th of June, the Metropolis of Nairobi was graced with a heartwarming and memorable visit by His Eminence Metropolitan Sebastianos of Atlanta. His Eminence Metropolitan Makarios of Nairobi and Exarch of East Africa had the profound joy and honor of receiving Metropolitan Sebastianos, who was accompanied by a distinguished delegation of esteemed guests.

From the very beginning, the atmosphere was filled with warmth and brotherly love. The visitors were offered a guided walk around the Metropolis premises, where they experienced the serenity, vibrant culture, and spiritual depth that define our Orthodox community. The sense of peace and unity was evident in every corner, from the sacred spaces to the lively hum of daily activities.

One of the most cherished moments of the visit was the stop at our beloved primary school. Here, the children—radiant with smiles and joy—welcomed the guests with a delightful instrumental performance. Their beautiful melodies and heartfelt hospitality moved many, creating a memory that will remain etched in the hearts of all who were present. The children’s performance was not only a celebration of talent but also a powerful expression of the love and grace that flows within our Orthodox family.

This visit was a testament to the deep bonds shared across continents within the Orthodox Church. It was a reminder of the universality of our faith and the beauty of communion, fellowship, and mutual support.

We give all glory and thanks to God for such a blessed encounter. May the love, unity, and spiritual joy that marked this day continue to flourish in our hearts and communities, bearing fruit for generations to come.
